We heart Renee Bargh. She’s funny, self-deprecating and has that gung-ho Aussie spirit only those from our isolated island specialise in. It’s part of the reason she’s been able to make the notoriously difficult transition from local household name (Channel V) to mingling with the A-list on the red carpets of LA (Extra TV) – and making it look so seamless.
We also love how willing she was to spare a few hours on her whirlwind Sydney visit, let us into her hotel room and literally let us into her bedroom (in a manner of speaking). As you can see, even in when put in a slightly awkward position, she shines. A skill we would wager comes in handy when chatting to the likes of George Clooney and Kanye West on a daily basis.
“Women’s intuition is a real thing, and 99.9 percent of the time, it’s right.”
“Be present. It’s crazy that this is something we actually have to be conscious of but live in the here and now, soak it up because this moment will never happen again.”
“What is worrying or stressing you right now will most likely not be relevant in a year or two from now, so breathe and trust that everything will be okay. If it’s meant to be it will be…”
“You can get through anything with good girlfriends around, they’re also hard to find so appreciate them, keep them close and create a lifetime of memories.”
“I’ve never seen road rage like that of LA’s. You can be the nicest person or a saint, and the minute you get behind the wheel in LA traffic everything changes, I’ve watched people turn instantly. It’s scary and comical at the same time.”
